Joyce Manor Long Beach Concert reviews
Stick to the old songs and turn down the volume!
We have seen multiple times the Joyce Manor. This concert was disappointing. When they performed the old hits, it sounded like it should and was enjoyable. One other thing...the sound was cranked up way too loud and was at an uncomfortable level. The songs on the new album are simply not very good. You can't play at a volume for a large hall when performing at a much smaller AC casino venue. They have abandoned the traditional Joyce Manor sound to attempt a 90's boy-group pop sound, like the Backstreet Boys or NSync, and it doesn't work. We only stayed until the end to hear "Broadway" and "Iris"...otherwise, we would have bailed out long before.
